We want to find out if an online course can help anxious parents raise confident children. Almost 2000 parents have taken part. Findings reported in 2023
📢The Parenting with Anxiety project has today finished recruiting.
We have been blown away by the support of so many parents and of the organisations who helped us to connect with families.
We will now continue to collect follow up data and will report our findings next year.📊

1600 parents are taking part. Would you like to help test a course designed for parents with anxiety?
To be more universally effective, efforts to prevent depression might ultimately need to demand less of teachers and kids, and focus more on poverty, violence, homelessness, food insecurity and other structural problems that affect children’s mental health.https://t.co/8UQqzEpiEY
Households with gas boilers could cut gas use by 6-8%, and all without changing the temperature in rooms.

Dads also get little or no support to develop their caregiving skills, help them understand child development or inform them how to keep their babies safe. And they’re not screened for stress, anxiety, depression or other important psychological factors.
Exam time can be tricky for parents too. If you find your anxiety is increasing the following might help: share your worries (not with your child), get outside, use distraction. https://t.co/YGrujA0BaU
Nice bit on exam-related worries on @BBCTheArchers omnibus this week. Rather than focusing on how "clever" a child is, talk about their efforts. Encourage them to take breaks and to talk about their worries. Well done Stella and Will (IYKYK) #Exams#TheArchers
Can a brief online course effectively help #anxious#parents empower their #children and boost their confidence? The Parenting with Anxiety project is inviting 2,000 parents with anxiety (children aged 2-11) to join us in finding out. ➡️ https://t.co/ejVbAGkpxo
@SamCH_ClinPsych who leads https://t.co/N1k8QMoJnU was in the Guardian this weekend. Really useful info for parents of anxious children.

Fantastic to have the @guardian offer helpful information around managing anxiety for children and their parents at this stressful time. #exams2022#anxiety
This is such a big issue for so many parents of teenagers now - lots of advice here (thankfully none of it from me, but from people who actually know what they're talking about instead)

As a parent with anxiety you may wish people understood more about your experiences.
Our team is sharing #ThingsIWish to help parents understand each other a bit better.
