Dear X Friends, therapists with #biomedical attitudes/beliefs adhere less to clinical #guidelines, are more likely to advise patients to restrict activities/work, and have worse #pain + disability #outcomes: https://t.co/hWWnGtqy1F

TRANSFER OF PAIN NEUROSCIENCE EDUCATION INTERVENTIONS BY CULTURAL ADAPTATION RESEARCH
The existence of chronic pain is a complex interaction between biological, psychological, and social factors. Pain neuroscience education (PNE) is an evidence-based physiotherapy treatment in monodisciplinary settings. In this intervention, pain is explained by neurophysiological changes instead of tissue damage as the cause of pain and related to different biopsychosocial factors.
In this session, the scientific process of developing a culturally sensitive PNE intervention is presented in three different settings namely in Lebanon, Nigeria (Hausa population), and a multidisciplinary setting in the Netherlands.
Pain neuroscience education is an important component of contemporary physiotherapy in people with chronic pain. This will be a great focused symposium focused on cultural adaptation of pain neuroscience education interventions.
