The one thing that sticks in my mind besides her over medication is the man’s voice she kept hearing telling her to kill her children and herself. That sounds demonic.

100%! It helped me to deal with anxiety postpartum immensely. I would go to the gym or for a run an hour before my husband left for work. Changed my life. While some of my friends had to be put on Prozac, I was able to up my serotonin naturally. Obviously, some people need clinical intervention, but for me it worked.

Not to be totally Legally Blonde here, but maybe therapists should be recommending exercise to postpartum women as a more productive way to overcome rage than throwing ice cubes in the bathtub.

Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't kill their husbands... or strangle their children, I guess.
