Our last monthly webinar this year will be given by @Vecchiology from @Jacobs_Med_UB. To register please go to: https://t.co/lORFn91SQW
In the CryoEM current practices webinar, our users share tips and tricks that help you in your CryoEm journey.
🗣️New results from the lab fresh off the virtual press @biorxivpreprint — Biophysical Basis of Paracellular Barrier Modulation by a Pan-Claudin-Binding Molecule

🗣️New work from the lab provides structures of the full Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin (CpE) bound to its human receptor claudin-4

Today in @Nature we present the results of our exploration of the soluble protein universe and the design of functional soluble membrane proteins with @CasperGoverde@GoldbachNico@befcorreia 1/6

We demonstrate that using constrained design we are able to preserve functional epitopes in these analogues, such as antibody or toxin binding sites, for example for human claudins 1 and 4 - important cancer drug targets. 4/6

Check out our newest paper in the @Vecchiology lab here: https://t.co/b1mQ88x5IN.
We used both SAXS and x ray crystallography to provide a novel insight into the first step in Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin activation, oligomerization and cytotoxicity.
In this new preprint we used cryo-EM and a novel Fab to determine a 2.6 Å structure of 22 kDa claudin-4 bound to a 14 kDa bacterial enterotoxin domain.
