Today, I will ask that the Senate express a vote of no confidence in the Albanese Labor Government.
The list of the Albanese government's failures, broken promises, and abuses is long but includes:
β’ Its failures, following recent High Court rulings, to protect the safety of Australians and the security of our borders by passing necessary legislation promptly.
β’ Its disregard for the normal processes of debate and scrutiny of legislation, including their rushing of the Nature Repair Bill and legislation regarding the Murray Darling Basin.
β’ Its failure to comply with, and inappropriate responses to, orders for the Senate's production of documents.
β’ Its failure to manage the rate of immigration.
β’ Its failure to address the housing crisis.
β’ Its failure to take necessary steps to address the cost-of-living crisis, lower power bills, and reduce inflation.
β’ Its failure to fulfill its promise to consult with and be accountable to the Australian people.
This Albanese Labor Government is not fit to lead this nation, and the Senate must make this clear.
Any party or Senator who chooses to prop up this dangerously incompetent Government must be exposed and held to account.
