Owning guns matters way less than political activism, as evidenced by the last several decades of our lives.

The only gun that truly matters is the handgun you carry and train with for personal defense. Anything more than that is at worst a collectible, and at the absolute very best, posturing.

Owning a rifle is an amazing deterrent for foreign military invasion, but does almost nothing for domestic lawfare.

Advice I Wish Someone Gave Me at 18:

Going to college right after high school is silly 99% of the time. You’re basically taking out a small business loan to gain the skills you think you need for the job you think you want. The problem is, you probably don’t even know who you are yet.

Go join the military, the Peace Corps, or start an apprenticeship and learn a trade. Get paid to figure out who you are—then spend the money to invest in yourself, if that’s what you decide to do.

Otherwise, you might end up $100,000 in debt for a job you don’t even like.
