1/ #Obesity (#diabetes, #heartdisease etc) still seen as self-inflicted and shameful. But it goes hand-in-hand with other poverty-related forms of #hunger (like infant and child underweight, stunting, etc).

Makes total sense. There's no point in damaging individual lives & over-burdening criminal justice system by criminalizing people for having small quantities of self-soothing substances on their person. If alcohol/nicotine are legal (given harms/risks), these others should be too
