Today, we honored Central Berks Police Officer Kristen Yeager at an End of Watch Ceremony. We will forever be grateful for her work protecting her community, and grieve the loss of someone who dedicated their lives to helping others.
Rest well, Officer Yeager. We’ve got it from here.
Thank you Senator Lynda Culver for having First Deputy Attorney General Kara Bowser speak at the Journey to Justice event this morning!
Every time we hear heartbreaking stories involving older Pennsylvanians losing their money, it’s devastating. Seniors need our help. And that’s why we have to collaborate with our legislative and law enforcement partners, to stop scammers and others from causing harm.
Together, we’re expanding resources and finding new ways to respond when new threats arise.
Yesterday I was thrilled to be a part of @SOPennsylvania's Final Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run at the Capitol! I am so proud to be a part of an office that has been a part of this long-standing tradition that has strengthened the relationship between law enforcement and Special Olympics.
It is a privilege to have teams participate, and I am grateful for the chance to share these moments with the runners and athletes. Thank you for having me!
I am proud of the work my office’s Medicaid Fraud Control Section does every single day. Last year we ranked #1 nationally in convictions, which shows how dedicated this team is. Without their help, people would continue to mistreat and steal from some of our most vulnerable.
Thank you @FoxNews for helping us share about this important issue.

I was happy to join Senator Lynda Culver and @RepJFleming in welcoming more than 150 scouts and scout leaders to Harrisburg for @boyscouts' 2026 annual Report to the Commonwealth.
It was inspiring to hear about the impact they are making through service, leadership and mentorship in our communities!
On June 6, 1944, thousands of extraordinary soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy, France, marking the beginning of the end of World War II. 82 years later, and forever, we owe a debt of gratitude to the soldiers who fought for our freedom that day. Today and every day, we thank and honor these soldiers for their sacrifice.
Our Office of Public Engagement is proud to participate in events where communities can come directly to us and ask questions. We are happy to provide resources and information on a wide variety of subjects, like this event in Berks County, which was all about scams and protecting older Pennsylvanians.

This week I stood with partners at the Capitol, talking about the importance of working together to help older Pennsylvanians. It’s only through working together, that we will do justice to those who built the foundation we stand on, every single day.

The Senate's passage of Senate Resolution 244 to create a Child Protection in the Digital Age Task Force:
Ensuring our laws protecting children keep pace with the rapid changes in technology is a mission critical to the Office of Attorney General.
I thank @Sen_Pennycuick for her leadership on this critical issue, and for trusting the Office of Attorney General to lead this vital task force. Protecting children from predators and potentially harmful technology is a duty we all share, and a mission this task force will assist.
Attorney General Dave Sunday offers reaction to actions Wednesday from the Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives regarding legislation that will aid the Office of Attorney General’s efforts to educate and protect the public from harmful artificial intelligence:

The House’s passage of House Bill 2314:
I am proud of the progress our office has made in protecting Pennsylvanians and holding accountable big tech companies who neglect consumer safety — but we recognize much work remains, and welcome the resources this bill would bring. The most effective way to prevent scams and ID theft is to be aware of today’s technology and how it can cause harm, and this legislation would help accomplish that.
I thank @RepCiresi and Rep. Ortitay for recognizing the very real dangers that exist online, and for entrusting my office to continue this vital public awareness and education work.
Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the arrest of Montgomery County man Christopher O. Johnson, charged with stealing more than $100,000 in life insurance payouts from his 19-year-old disabled former stepson, following the death of the victim’s mother:

As adults, it sometimes feels like we have all the answers, but we don’t. We didn’t have the technology today’s teens have in their pockets every day, and that’s why we understand we need to hear directly from the source. We are glad that this has been such a positive experience for the participating students and schools!
Attorney General Dave Sunday is encouraging Pennsylvanians — including students and soon-to-be graduates — to be vigilant when reviewing job opportunities posted online, and be watchful for potential scams.
Employment scams – particularly, phony work-from-home options – continue to target job seekers with promises of high pay, flexible schedules or easy income. In many cases, scammers use fake job applications to obtain personal or financial information:

Our hearts are heavy with the news of an officer killed in the line of duty. Officer Kristen Yeager’s watch was ended while responding to a call for service Friday evening.
Please join me in praying for her family and friends and the Central Berks Regional Police Department as they mourn the loss of their wife, mother, colleague and friend.
Each and every day law enforcement put their lives on the line to protect our communities never knowing what that shift may bring their way. This tragedy reminds us that there is no routine day for them which makes their service even more remarkable and worthy of our support.
We were thrilled to have such bright, engaged students participate in our teenTALK roundtables this year. A huge thank you to Rosalie and Gabby for joining us, and sharing their experience!
