@aledornell They may change their opinion on politics or social issues (more than a few are on Milei's side now), but peronism is quite simply not a democratic ideology. It is build upon a Caudillo logic, and can't move away from it.
@aledornell You mean the people that, to this day, defend Maduro? The people who have a governor who's served longer than Putin? The people who justify guerrillas and call them heroes?
@aledornell There are democratic peronists. The problem is that they get called jews, neoliberals, faggots and cipayos the moment they deviate a inch from the iliberal populist line.
@aledornell Well I care more that she was colluding to let the perpetrators of Latin America's biggest terrorist attack go free (and then kill a prosecutor to hide that), than Milei making an AI image of him and De la Espriella.
@aledornell I also don't think that trampling on state institutions and judicial, giving away state resources to murky organizations, blatant propaganda on public broadcasts, colluding with governments like Iran, or wanting to pardon a criminal like CFK are things to be dismissed either
@aledornell She's one person, but this doesn't stop with her. Neither Nestor, nor Duhalde, nor Menem, nor Isabelita, nor PerΓ³n himself were fans of liberal democracy. And if Kicillof, or Moreno, or whoever becomes the next peronist president, there's little hope they'll be fans of it either
@aledornell You mean Alberto or Cristina? If the former I would agree, but under Cristina, the press situation severally worsened according to international organizations like SIP or RSF.
@aledornell The one thing almost every president has attempted to do (since it is technically legal)? This doesn't make it correct, of course, but we are talking about lesser harm here.
@aledornell And it's not like CFK is a friend of the press either. She attacked them just the same, and even tried to pass a media law to restructure the media industry as it best suit her.
@aledornell Yes, Milei's attacks on the press are bad, but I definitely think they are less harmful than trying to impeach the entire Supreme Court or diminishing the independence of the Judicial branch, like kichnerists tried.
@ItzAntz_7@crookedAbraham@SummonerFlash If they don't care about the GAMEplay, then they shouldn't play a game. It's like those people who "read" books but skip everything that isn't dialogue.
@AquamarineThot@catgirlkirijo The interactivity is what differentiates between a game and a movie, much like how the audiovisual aspect differentiates between a movie and a script.
Evo Morales and his supporters spent YEARS crying that he had been couped from power (he wasn't).
Now, Morales is attempting an actual coup against the democratically-elected Bolivian government. There should be a serious look into if Russia is once again shadowing his campaign.
