INTERPOL SA ARRESTS TWO TURKISH FUGITIVES IN KZN AND CAPE TOWN WANTED IN TÜRKIYE FOR SEPARATE GBV-RELATED OFFENCES
INTERPOL South Africa’s Fugitive Investigation Team, supported by Crime Intelligence, members from the Isipingo Police Station and private security, has arrested a 40-year-old Turkish fugitive in Isipingo, KwaZulu-Natal, following a coordinated operation on Thursday, 01 October 2026.
The fugitive is wanted by Turkish authorities to stand trial on charges of rape, sexual assault, kidnapping, malicious damage to property and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), which were reported to the Eskişehir Police Department in Türkiye.
According to the information received from Turkish authorities, the suspect allegedly kidnapped his then-fiancée in 2010 and raped her over several days.
He also allegedly assaulted the victim by repeatedly striking her head against a wall, resulting in permanent physical and psychological impairment.
The victim was 22 years old at the time of the alleged offences.
Following the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect allegedly fled Türkiye, his country of origin.
He was subsequently traced to Isipingo in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
Upon receipt of the extradition request from Turkish authorities, INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) Pretoria obtained and executed a warrant in terms of Section 5(1)(b) of the relevant legislation, resulting in the fugitive’s arrest.
The fugitive appeared before the Umlazi Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 02 October 2026 facing an extradition application by the government of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of South Africa.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) continues to strengthen international law enforcement cooperation through INTERPOL structures, enabling the tracing and arrest of wanted persons who seek to evade justice by fleeing across international borders.
This arrest follows another successful operation by INTERPOL South Africa last month, in which a Turkish fugitive, a former primary school principal, was arrested in Cape Town in connection with charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and intimidation involving a nine-year-old victim.
The former principal was arrested on Monday, 21 September 2026, and has since appeared before the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court.

The investigation team might need to change their gears and make sure they arrest people this weekend, something is being cooked and I would not be shocked if they arrest the hard working cops .
#sapsHQ [SAPS INTENSIFIES INVESTIGATIONS AS FOUR WOMENS BODIES DISCOVERED IN TWO MONTHS IN THE KEMPTON PARK AREA]
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is warning women in and around Kempton Park, particularly the Rhodesfield area, to exercise extreme caution following the discovery of the bodies of four women in the same area over a period of approximately two months.
The latest body was discovered on Saturday evening.
Preliminary information gathered by detectives indicates concerning similarities in the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The bodies of the women were found half naked and with visible bruising, and the discovery sites are located within the same vicinity.
While investigations are still underway and SAPS has not, at this stage, confirmed that the deaths are linked to a serial killer, the similarities are sufficiently concerning for the police to issue a public warning and intensify investigations.
Women in and around Kempton Park are urged not to walk or run alone, particularly in isolated areas. They should avoid secluded spaces, remain vigilant and, where possible, travel or exercise in groups.
The safety of women remains a priority for SAPS, and the police will not wait for further incidents before taking decisive action.
The Acting National Commissioner of the SAPS, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, has directed the Gauteng Provincial Commissioner to immediately establish a dedicated multidisciplinary task team to investigate these cases and determine whether there are links between the incidents.
The task team will comprise detectives from specialised units, including the Murder and Robbery Unit and the Investigative Psychology Unit, as well as other relevant disciplines and resources required to urgently advance the investigation.
The task team will be led by the Gauteng Deputy Provincial Commissioner, Major General Mbuso Khumalo, who has been tasked with ensuring that all investigative avenues are pursued and that no stone is left unturned in establishing who is responsible for these deaths.
SAPS is appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation, particularly residents, motorists, security personnel and members of the community who may have observed suspicious activity in the Rhodesfield and surrounding areas, to come forward.
SAPS is taking these incidents extremely seriously. We urge women to remain vigilant, while assuring the community that specialised police resources have been mobilised to establish the circumstances surrounding these deaths and bring those responsible to justice.

#sapsHAWKS [SIX NIGERIAN NATIONALS WANTED IN THE USA FOR ONLINE LOVE SCAMS EXTRADITED THROUGH COLLABORATION BY THE HAWKS AND INTERPOL]
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI), commonly known as the #Hawks, in collaboration with #INTERPOL South Africa, yesterday, 11 September 2026, facilitated the extradition of six Nigerian nationals to the United States of America.
The six men, Perry Osagiede, Collins Owhofsa Otughwor, Osariemen Eric Clement, Musa Mudashiri, Franklyn Edosa Osagiede and Prince Ibeabuchi Mark, are alleged to be members of the Black Axe organised criminal network and are wanted by the US authorities in connection with charges of wire fraud and money laundering.
The suspects are alleged to have targeted more than 100 women in the United States, allegedly defrauding them of more than R100 million through online romance or love scams.
Among the alleged victims were pensioners and businesspeople who were reportedly targeted through sophisticated online relationships used to defraud them of their money.
The six were part of eight Nigerian nationals, Perry Osagiede, Enorense Izevbiege, Franklin Edosa Osagiede, Osariemen Eric Clement, Collins Owhofasa Otughwor, Musa Mudashiru, Toriseju Gabriel Otubu, and Prince Ibeabuchi Mark, who were arrested in South Africa in 2021, following a major takedown operation conducted by the Hawks/DPCI. In February 2024, the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court formally ruled that the alleged members could be extradited to the US. However, Izevbiege and Otubu did not proceed with their appeals. Izevbiege was extradited to the US, and Otubu was granted R210 000 bail with conditions.
Through the coordination of INTERPOL South Africa, the six were transported from a correctional facility in Cape Town to Cape Town International Airport, where they were handed over to officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Secret Service, and embarked on a 16-hour flight to the United States.

A Few weeks ago I shared with the public that the SAPS has issued a circular to the police basically instructing them not to police in instances where there are foreigners and the community involved. When we launched the SA First Forum we announced that this would be the first matter that we take to court to challenge the government. Our legal team wrote a letter of demand to the SAPS asking them to retract the circular! This morning we received a response from the SAPS saying that they are revising the circular…! The police will be policed ✊🏻🇿🇦
