@davidscottjaffe This is the correct take. It will be interesting to see whether lukewarm critical reception and low user scores impact the sales. Even if they do, will Sony change their formula? Interesting times, where PlayStation games are no longer critical darlings.
@Shpeshal_Nick@franmirabella@PlayStation Can you elaborate then on what you mean when you say user reviews are worthless? For me, the implication is yes you can like a game but if you are not a critic/reviewer then your score is worthless.
@Shpeshal_Nick@franmirabella@PlayStation Critics reviews matter, whereas user reviews are worthless? Is that the hot take here? Look, Wolverine is not a 9/10 in any reality but people are allowed to like it. I bet it's a mystery to you why CoD and FIFA sell so well, year after year.
@PaulTassi No, there are not Paul
Game has issues but being too hand-holdey is not one of them. I would say it's standard AAA systems really. Difference is - you have them in a non-open world environment. Animation is the big one for me. Game looks really cheap at times
@shinobi602 Keen to hear your thoughts. Pretty uneven in my opinion. Seems like two teams working on two different games that were stitched up together at some point. Animation is so weird in this one too
@NextGenPlayer Played 4h or so. Not at all a bad game and having a fun time. Combat is actually really satisfying but yes lacks depth. Biggest gripe is the AAA tropes within the game - stupid walking sections, constant talking to oneself etc Some really good character moments too!
@GenePark Gene, will miss your takes as I love them. Genuinely a good journalist. However, with the Wolverine debacle, you need to take some responsibility for the fart gas, which kicked off a shit storm.
@insomniacgames Ah yes let's spend 200 million USD to make a "cinematic" game. Look we have an ACTOR IN OUR GAME. It's just like A SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER. Gameplay is an afterthought and that's a fact. You want to tell a story first and foremost write a book. You want cinematic shoot a film.
@LootBoxGamingUS This is just a measure to prevent leaks. There is likely to be a physical copy after release - Take Two betting on consumers double dipping
