Yet another Milestone in the Evolution of Financial Markets!
Digital Asset, Euroclear the World Gold Council and global law firm Clifford Chance collaborated to successfully complete a pilot program to tokenize gilts, Eurobonds, and gold using blockchain technology.
The program, which took place over June and July, involved 27 market participants and used 14 Canton nodes. Five types of cross-application transactions were connected using 11 distributed applications, including six registry apps and five margin apps, with 500 transactions completed.
Following the successful US Treasuries Pilot with DTCC, the second Pilot demonstrated how blockchain technology can be applied in the EMEA market to transform the way we trade and collateralize assets. The #tokenization of gilts, Eurobonds, and gold has the potential to optimize collateral management, improve market liquidity, and increase operational efficiency.
This achievement marks a significant step forward in the evolution of financial markets, showcasing the potential of blockchain technology to drive innovation and improvement.
Learn more about our collaborative effort and the impact of tokenized assets on the future of finance!

@AFME_EU supports several proposals in the EU Listing Act but is also concerned about limitations in the size of prospectuses & SME research unbundling proposals that could increase complexity and costs without increasing research coverage. Our paper: https://t.co/ygsEo5vt0a

Last night AFME hosted its Annual Financial Services Policy Dinner in #Brussels.
During this dinner, MEP @danutahuebner, Marco Buti, Head of Cabinet of the Commissioner & @jzettelmeyer, Director of Bruegel, gave speeches.
To unlock this potential we need:
-A well-designed EU Green Bond Standard, including a framework for green synthetic securitisation in the EuGBS;
-To address regulatory imbalances holding back the wider European securitisation market. 3/3
The European market is currently small but has potential: securitisable green lending to households in major markets could exceed €300 bn annually by 2030 (eg, mortgage loans on energy-efficient properties, lending for green home renovation and electric auto financing). 2/3
