Super kind of the @nproye team for boosting my thoughts about @latimes. There is nothing new here that I haven't been saying since I started writing online 20 years ago and since I founded @latinorebels in 2011.
And let me just reiterate...De Los isn't gone. @fidmart85 @A_MartinaIbanez@JessicaPerezLA2 @Spacehoes_ are still there and will do an amazing job of building on the legacy. Please still read De Los!!!!
I was lucky enough to be a part of the final class of the WB Television Writers Workshop!
So grateful for this educational experience and affirmation that the industry does indeed need the unhinged voices of haunted little creep writers like myself.

The American dream takes on a whole new shape. From the visionary mind of Julio Torres comes PROBLEMISTA, a hilarious and heartfelt comedy about dreaming big and making it in NYC. Starring Julio, Tilda Swinton, RZA, Greta Lee, and narrated by Isabella Rossellini. Coming Soon!
I was interviewed by @HanaaTameez from @NiemanLab about my role at NPR, and this is as good a chance as ever to say if you're not following NPR Oye on Instagram, you should be. 💖https://t.co/BqFzF96oeh

Pairing Tilda Swinton with Julio was a no-brainer, and damn, does she really deliver. The film drops sometime this year, but I do hope y'all check it out when it does. It's gutsy/unique stories like these that inspire me to continue writing.
The cancellation of 'Los Espookys' left a Julio-sized wound on my heart that has now been stitched by #Problemista. The film highlights the messiness of the U.S. immigration system with ambition, humor, surrealism, touching moments, and best of all — in pure Julio Torres fashion.
