Humankind is in essence morally conscious. Attaching AI to that consciousness may prompt reinterpretation of the physical world, even spoofed reinterpretation that influences our actions, but our essential moral consciousness cannot be overwritten without destroying us in the process.
I used to think that I was too small to matter. Then it occurred to me that God gave me a consciousness larger than the Universe. I can see the stars and conceive of what might lie beyond them. And I can conceive of a God who made them. IMHO, that makes me a pretty big deal.
Why are we the prize in the war of Good vs Evil? I think the answer is simple. Humankind's unique feature is not our consciousness but our moral consciousness. God and Satan fight over us, but it is we who decide whether God or Satan wins our souls.
Presumptuous of me to say, but I believe that your greatest strength is that, even though you are an adult, you still see the Universe with all the wonder of a child. How marvelous that is! I can sometimes resurrect that perspective in myself (I once could see an entire world in the simple beauty of a glass marble with a swirl in it) but never for long or without great effort.

The real problem is the failure of the Giants to respond in kind. It will be interesting to see Vrabel when his QB takes a shot like that... And the NFL needs to make a clear determination as to the extent to which they want to protect QB's. LT used to legally knock the opposing QB out of the game with great frequency.
As a lifelong Giants fan, I have no problem with NE hitting Dart, who seemed to be going for the first down, not out of bounds. However, the Patriots were putting their helmets into the Giants earholes the entire first half (I turned the game off after Kafka took the delay of game instead of punting). That is Old School but I do not believe it is permitted today when properly called. Nevertheless, I will say that the Giants should have responded with equally physical play, smash-mouth to smash-mouth. This is not tennis and, as a defense, the Giants are too soft to be competitive. Just watch the @CarlBanksGIII highlight video and you will get the point.
Willful destruction of innocent human lives will NEVER be blessed by God. He is the author of life and He will never bless our decision to murder the innocents no matter how vociferously we invoke His Name. I don’t think it was God’s presence she felt!
I will tell you a story. I was watching a championship boxing match where George Foreman (who had many children all named "George"!) was a commentator. The announcer explained that the estranged defending champion's father, who had coached his son until recently, was in the front row, but that they were no longer speaking to each other. Foreman's reply was quick "That's the father's fault," he said. The announcer said "How so?" Foreman said, "Kids sometimes stop talking to their parents. But who's the grownup? The parents should never stop talking to their kids." I never forgot that exchange even though I was not a parent at the time, but it absolutely affected how I raised my son. If a kid says "I hate you!" the response should always be "That's okay, but I still love you."
