Simpler times, man... 🥹🥹

It felt great to go back and hear Chuck Amato's raspy voice on the old podcast back in 2021.

On his last appearance, he talked about Bobby Bowden's passing, Philip Rivers' first fall camp, and much more.

"We all know that we need to step up and do better."

During the bye week, NC State leaned on team leaders to bounce back from a brutal loss to Wake Forest.

Now, NC State takes on Stanford on Friday, with player leadership on both sides of the ball.

It was a great blessing and privilege to play for Coach Amato! He created an environment filled with belief, unity, toughness, hard work, discipline, perseverance, and much more. I’m seeing a lot of what he instilled in us during those years at STATE being lived out by my PACK BROTHERS!

He has greatly impacted my life and consequently my children’s lives because of the great man and coach he was!

He will be missed!

Dave Doeren uses a Ruffin McNeill quote when describing the criticism of him this season:

"When you win and have a great season, people want you to write a book. When you lose, they don't think you can read one."
