The Packers got a stop on the Lions 22 with 4:50 remaining in the game and proceeded to produce a putrid three play sequence including a dropped TD and then had a 35 yard FG attempt blocked. That sequence is where a good team would have overcome the officiating.

The Packers have shown some ability to stop the run.
- Held Vikings to 3.1 ypc
- Held the Jets to 2.5 ypc
- Bad day against the Falcons
- Held Bucky Irving to 3.8 ypc (Irving ran for 7.9 ypc against the Cowboys the following week)
- Held the Bears to 3.4 ypc (league's best rushing attack)
- Held the Cowboys to 3.2 ypc

If they hold Gibbs below 4 ypc, the Packers run away with this one.
