@jstuartsm That is something on my radar but delayed: there is currently a refresh bug in iOS with buttons in this type of widgets that can be annoying.
What you can currently do, is to touch the month name: this will open the app and you’ll be able to touch the arrows to change the month.

In Morse-it 10.2, new actions dedicated to Morse-it are available in the shortcut app.
These actions are also available with Siri, so you can say something like "Encode some text with Morse-it", "Encode SOS with Morse-it", "Show the decode screen of Morse-it".

With Morse-it 10.0 you can now add a widget to your home screen that displays the current day in Morse code.

Indeed I now disable the pad when it is not in use (this was mainly for accessibility Voiceover reasons) but it makes sense anyway.

@W8TAU As far as I know, direct usb access (for custom protocols) is still not possible on iOS (without being a certified MFI accessory provider I think)

Morse-it is compatible with keys only if the key is recognized as a keyboard (or a game controller) by the iPad/iPhone.
(e.g. dit would be ‘a’ character press, and dah would be a ‘b’ character press)
