It was of great honor that I visited @UBLFoundation & @UgandaBaati to discuss about the long lasting impact of menstrual hygiene for the people of Tororo & see how best we can equip young girls with knowledge on how to acquire skills in making pads instead of just giving them
A lot of girls are forced to have sex because of lack of money to buy menstrual products like pads but with our partners like @UNOC_UG we’re are setting up a production plant for reusable pads to see that we reach out to girls in rural areas and slums
#APad4EveryGal
Empowering girls, restoring confidence, and creating a future where no girl misses out because of her period 💜🩷
Together, we continue to break barriers through reusable sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene awareness. #PadAGirl#MenstrualHealthMatters#EmpowerHer#DambaFoundation
Even in the process of helping those who don’t we look at providing what’s the best
Our packaging for reuseable pads to support girls in Namuwongo Slums
#Pad4EveryGirl#PadaGirlRun
In regards to our #PadaGirlInitiative today we’re in Namuwongo slums for a field work study before we come to distribute reusable pads. Our aim is to see that we support vulnerable girls in slums and rural communities who’ve no access to sanitary pads.
Thanks to @UNOC_UG
Today our team got a chance to interact with Mary who resides in Namuwongo slums & shares her story about her journey of period poverty since last her we met her We believe the support from @UNOC_UG@CEO_UNOC@kaduyu_Jr@Comrade_Otoa will help such girls
