The future of conversational AI is not chatbots that answer questions.
It is agents that complete work.
The message comes in. The booking is made. The lead is filed. The claim is registered. The order is created.
The customer never leaves WhatsApp.
That’s Sawabot’s bet.
The inbox is becoming the ERP.
Across Africa, business workflows are moving into WhatsApp: food orders, loan applications, claim photos, school admissions, appointment bookings.
Not because companies planned it.
Because customers choose the channel that already feels natural.
But the real work still lives somewhere else.
The loan is in core banking. The order is in Odoo. The appointment is in a calendar. The lead is in the CRM.
So someone spends their day copying WhatsApp messages into “the real system.”
That gap is the opportunity.
@TheAhmadOsman Every 2 months there is a better model. Model switching fatigue is a thing. I'm used to Claude and since I'm not vibe coding I don't notice the degradation. I just put it back on the right path anytime it makes a dumb decision
@Indy_triguy@benhylak Gemini 2.5 argued all the time because I wasn’t following material ui standards. It has a lot of opinions.
It’s great for people who don’t know what they’re doing with code.
@davidfowl It's depends on what you working on. Developing a reactive-native app was a pain in the ass in windows and even more in wsl. I just gave up and bought a side Mac mini specifically for it.
