Defending human life also includes welcoming, protecting and assisting immigrants, whose hopes, sacrifices and contribution have formed part of the history of this country from its very beginning. In every generation, those who have arrived seeking freedom, opportunity and a place to belong have helped to shape the nation’s character. To receive them with compassion and generosity is not only an act of charity, but also a recognition of the dignity that belongs to every human person.
It makes no sense to ban NTV from covering Parliament.
Creating an environment where journalism thrives works in everyone’s favour.
Parliament must do the right thing..
They treat us as subhuman.
They kill our people for fun
They rape our sisters and brothers.
They torture us on camera.
They abduct us without remorse.
They tear families apart.
They drive people into exile.
They push others to commit suicide.
They rig elections with impunity.
They mock us and post humiliating images of our comrades in captivity.
Then they ask us “What will you do about it?”
But when we remind them, that they too are mortal, and that pain has a way of returning to its source, they suddenly remember the language of ‘morality’.
Go and preach that fake morality to Yasin Kawuma’s mother.
Preach it to the children of Johnbosco Kibalama., Eddy Mutwe or Waiswa Mufumbiro.
Preach it to the family of John Ddamulira and to the countless other victims of the Museveni family.
Don’t try to weaponize ‘morality’ to shield injustice and brutality.
It won’t work with this generation!
Yes, we believe in morality, but silence in the face of injustice is not morality. It is complicity, it is hypocrisy!
I leave #Africa with an immeasurable treasure of faith, hope, and charity. This treasure consists of stories, faces, and testimonies, both joyful and sorrowful, which will greatly enrich my life and ministry as the Successor of Peter.
As in the early centuries of the Church, Africa is now called to make a decisive contribution to the holiness and missionary character of the Christian people. #ApostolicJourney

Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect Emeritus of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, proposed in Mexico the following advice in the face of the "crisis of faith" that the world is experiencing today.
On Monday, June 26, the La Salle University, Mexico City campus, received the Cardinal, who offered the magisterial conference "Witnesses of the truth in a world of crisis".
The African Cardinal emphasized that "in our days there is so much confusion, so much ambiguity and uncertainty in doctrinal and moral teaching, both outside and inside the Church, especially with regard to the identity of Christ and the salvation brought by Him".

The Cardinal invited the participants to prepare themselves with the Word of God in order to be able to fight evil and be well disposed, citing the biblical passage of Mt. 4:1-11, when Jesus was led into the desert, where he was tempted by Satan.
Cardinal Sarah commented that "our main weapon in the spiritual combat is the Word and, therefore, it is necessary to know it very well".

"The other fundamental weapon is prayer. Pope Benedict gave us a great lesson in the power of prayer in the last 10 years of his life," he recalled.
Thus, the Cardinal encouraged not to stop praying, going to Mass and going to confession: "Today we urgently need to reappropriate these divine gifts," he emphasized.

"When we withdraw into the desert of the interior life, we discern the truth that creation is at war with man who pretends to heal the ecology and the defense of the environment, but at the same time promotes abortion, euthanasia and homosexuality," warned the African cardinal.

"In silence, we enter into the presence of God in our hearts. In silence, all the noises, distractions and even the most legitimate concerns are opportunely relativized, placed in relation to the cross and there the light of the Gospel appears. There everything is offered to God, including ourselves," Cardinal Sarah said.
"Modern man has started a terrible war against God and against man: a satanic war. This is why the spiritual battle with evil is part of the Christian life," he added.
The African Cardinal said that "the West has forgotten God and seeks only fleeting pleasure. This has generated more and more isolated individuals with a great existential emptiness".

"The current and daily struggle is in our hearts and it is, as St. Paul says, against the spirits of evil. The demons seek at all costs my ruin and my estrangement from God," the Prefect Emeritus stressed.
"It is imperative today to discipline the mind and heart by fixing our gaze on the Cross," he said.
Cardinal Sarah pointed out that the "human being struggles to protect nature, but at the same time destroys man, marriage, life and rejects accepting his own identity as man or woman." "God has created us male or female and today we say that each one can choose whether to be male or female," he weighed.
The Cardinal affirmed that "with transhumanism we want to augment man, to make man a machine, a superman, perhaps deluding ourselves with the idea of becoming immortal, invincible, super intelligent, super powerful, of making man a God".
