A friend just sent me her 10 page hospital bill after a straightforward pregnancy and delivery of a well baby.

Hospital - $44,375.76

Obstetrician - $8,323

Anesthesiologist - $2800

Total = $55,500

Medical bills are the commonest cause of bankruptcy in the US.

Well done Emily Thornbury, well said. Really hard to take a kicking and still look and behave like a Home Secretary in waiting. You're right, General Election (GE) NOW. Make it about decent humane inclusive Labour policies. A UK GE is not run on PR, so brexit/libdems wont show up

Radiographer. Resident for 6 ys. Wife & 5 kids (all at school here 6 ys). Refused settlement for £70 traffic fine. It meant they all had to leave the UK.
