@saylessbrolol@FPLReaction You said I was boring, and yet here you are again. You love it.
I don’t really care anymore about what we were talking about to be honest, mate.
Anything else you want to talk about?
@saylessbrolol@FPLReaction I’m just responding to what you’re saying, mate. You lied, so I corrected you.
Also, you have control over your own actions. If it’s so boring, feel free to stop replying whenever you want. 😄
@saylessbrolol@FPLReaction “I haven’t once mentioned your ‘writing skills’,” yet you quite literally said that I take pride in having basic grammar, which is why I responded the way I did.
Are you okay? Are you a bot?
@saylessbrolol@FPLReaction It isn’t about being prideful of basic writing skills, mate.
It’s about you calling me a bot and a nerd because of those basic writing skills, which says a lot about you. 🤣
@saylessbrolol@FPLReaction You’re saying that because I use basic punctuation. Well, I’m sorry that your parents failed you, but that’s not my fault. Don’t take it out on me. 🤣
@saylessbrolol@FPLReaction Well, that’s not really their point, is it, mate?
They’re saying that both Neco Williams and Aina are potentially viable picks now that they no longer have to deal with the negative effects of playing European football all season.
@UTFR_Livelong@WhoseFootball You know what? I agree. Clearly, our best player of the tournament was the reason we didn't win.
Definitely not Southgate, whose tactics invited endless pressure after we scored, or Rashford, Sancho, and Saka, who all missed penalties in the final.
@UTFR_Livelong@WhoseFootball You’re laser-focused on one goal, one that most people would consider unlucky.
Meanwhile, Pickford kept 5 clean sheets, conceded just 2 goals throughout the entire tournament, saved 2 penalties in the final, and was widely regarded as England’s best player.
Have some shame. 🤣
@UTFR_Livelong@WhoseFootball I don’t recall it being widely accepted as a Pickford blunder.
What I do recall is the amount of praise he received throughout the entire tournament though, he was immense.
But none of that matters to you. You’re blaming him for a final in which he saved 2 penalties, man. 🤣
@UTFR_Livelong@WhoseFootball It was against Italy, and no, he wasn’t at fault for their goal.
He made a great reflex save from a chaotic corner, tipped the ball onto the post, which then bounced straight to Bonucci.
I’m starting to think you don’t even know what happened during the 2020 Euros.
@UTFR_Livelong@WhoseFootball Blaming the Euro 2020 final loss on Pickford is interesting, to say the least. I think I’ve heard it all now. 🤣
Try to hide your blatant bias a bit better in future, and people might take you seriously.
3+ - Since the start of 2022, England have conceded 3+ goals on four occasions at international level - Jordan Pickford hasn't played in any of those four.
Indeed, Pickford hasn't conceded more than twice in any of his last 70 appearances for the Three Lions.
Debate.
@UTFR_Livelong@Darren1878nsno Three errors leading to a goal, only two more than the best keeper of the season, David Raya. The season before that, he made one.
Is this really your best argument? This one statistic? You do realise there are plenty of other statistics that goalkeepers are judged on, right?
@UTFR_Livelong@Darren1878nsno Of course it means something, but it’s not the be-all and end-all of what makes a good goalkeeper.
Like I already said, the majority of those errors came during his early years with us, when he wasn’t that good.
Since then, though, he’s developed into a quality goalkeeper.
@UTFR_Livelong@Darren1878nsno That’s not my point. My point is that this stat doesn’t mean much if one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers of all time is in the top 10 for errors leading to goals.
It also doesn’t mean much considering StatMuse only started tracking it in the 2014–15 season.
@UTFR_Livelong@Darren1878nsno I didn’t say 11 was bad. You’re the one who brought this stat up in the first place and made it seem so important.
So I’ll ask again: if this stat is so important, why is Alisson in the top 10 when you and I both know he’s one of the best Premier League goalkeepers of all time?
@UTFR_Livelong@WhoseFootball It’s a shame the rest of the team weren’t as good as Pickford in the Euro 2020 final, otherwise we’d have won something.
The same tournament where Pickford was one of our best players throughout. The one where he saved two penalties in the final and we still lost.
