🐘 PHP is a fantastic language that has seen many cool improvements over the past few years.
Currently, only a very few people (can) work on the language itself. This is obviously not healthy and hopefully this situation will improve in the future.

Whatever you do, please always back up data. Data loss is painful; and it’s hard to truly know the cost until it happens.
Every consistent & conscious effort to recover from a data loss is always worth it.

A few years back I was on an interview panel - one interviewee showed his PWA app. That was the first time I heard of it. I was humble, inquisitive and engaging - ready to learn
I asked some questions, did research; next day, I launched my app. Today, people pay me for PWA. 😂
Wailers are everywhere; classmates, colleagues - they will tell you how they think things are done. It’s all mouth; Be wise, use your sense.
Everything else can be taken away from you or become worthless; your certificate, your money - but what you know (knowledge)? Priceless!
I also trained as an architect. Then during industrial training, and a little time after sch, some of us would run from mentors or employees who we claim are “using” us
Today, there’s a clear difference. Those that were used are now useful.
I guess “Use + Time = Useful”
Young software developers, don’t listen to wailers: pay the price to learn
After almost 20 yrs of developing software (10yrs professionally), I can tell you that nothing beats sound knowledge
My expert ass still learn at every opportunity; even on interview panels

back then, I use pocket money to go to cafe to learn - borrow computer books and practice the illustrations.
Friends mock me. One especially said - “Ayo, money the money you ought to use maintain, u wasting it on browsing”. Ten years after dude wanted to intern with me.
You can start with good books with illustrations and examples to play with. Don’t jump to “Hello World”, go first for books that teach #programming concepts and best practices.
If you need recommendations of books. Ask me here and I’ll plug you in.
Thank me later.
