My schedule for next week is also below! A couple ranked match-ups!
“Transfer portal recruitment is almost bigger than winning games, not at Michigan State.”
“I don’t give up on the people I got.”
Tom Izzo saying this after beating the highest paid roster ($22 MILLION💰) in America is why he’s the GOAT🐐

Whether you're training for a sport or better health and movement, no seemingly magic 6-week program is the answer. Most of these programs lead to only small and short-term gains with an increased risk for injury. A science-based program for the advancement of athleticism, strength, coordination, mental acuity, injury resilience, and mobility is long-term.
This exercise has a lot going for it—power, core stability for torque transfer, upper body control, shoulder strength and stability, balance..... For a softball pitcher, the Single-Arm Step Through Press mimics the kinetic chain of the windmill motion. You get ground force from the stride leg, power transfer through the core, to explosive arm speed. Been working with this athlete on more power in the step through. She's getting it!
Working a lot with this athlete on neuromuscular control and transferring power efficiently through the kinetic chain. She's doing a nice job putting things together here to produce good rotational power. We sometimes think about rotational power as a baseball, softball, and racquet sport thing, but any athlete who produces power, needs to learn how to engage the legs, hips, core, and upper body together efficiently. As an example, think about the rotational power and control needed to kick a soccer ball with force and accuracy.
You are who you hang with.
Surround yourself with the following people…
- They are happy for your success
- Driven and goal oriented
- They make you better
- Positive energy givers
- Respectful of others
- Resilient mindset
- Kind hearted
- 100% ers
You owe it to yourself.
Want to become a more explosive athlete? Sprint!!
Explosive power comes from the ability to produce maximal force in minimal time and sprints train the neuromuscular system to fire quickly and efficiently. Increased power output translates to harder throws, stronger swings, and quicker reactions. My athletes do different variations of sprint work at least 2 times per week pretty much year-round.
A sports performance program isn’t just about building raw strength. The real goal is functional strength—the kind that translates directly to the demands of the playing field. Building this strength takes time and should be nurtured through a range of training techniques designed for long-term success.
