As a black female physician in Texas, I have had the pleasure of being MANY of the FIRSTS! While I recognize that my being the first opens many doors for women that look like me, I also recognize how far we TRULY have to go in 2025 & beyond.

In all of my years of medical education, residency, & now medical practice, I've never known the potential risks of childlessness to be:

Chronic Pelvic Pain
Blood Clots
Incontinence
Exsanguination
Possible Extensive Surgery
or
DEATH
