@jared_jack It’s like the impact we have on marine life and the treatment of marine life because of our fish consumption, it’ll make you never want to eat seafood again lol
We should be talking about how awesome weight loss is from as health perspective, but we should never be saying or viewing someone as less valuable in either of these pictures. Thats toxic diet and health culture.
Your daily reminder that the insulin I’ve used for 24 years, Humalog, has gone from $21 a vial to $275 a vial with no changes to the insulin or even the packaging. That’s a 1200% increase on a hormone every human requires to live, but my body can’t make. I die in 48 hours w/o it
🥇 It feels good to be #1!

The Keto Diet is ranked the worst diet of 2020 by dietitians & physicians. Even more so than the Atkins & paleo. Whereas the Mediterranean diet, with its high amount of vegetables, low amount of red meats, seafood & healthy oils, regularly rank number 1 each year.
My PhD program covers my primary health insurance and still today I paid $1500 for the diabetes supplies the insulin goes in to... and yesterday I chose to delay getting my insulin because I couldn’t afford it yet. Food for thought.
No matter what the result of this situation is, I hope that there is more and bigger conversations between leadership and students at Berry. To understand what went into the decision and be able to talk through questions and concerns. What a learning opportunity on both sides.
