Before reacting or responding to students or anyone, it’s good to pause and remember that people’s behaviour often has nothing to do with you. Give them grace, and make sure you throw some your own way. These are heightened times. We all need a bit more #grace. #CelebrateMonday
You might not be able to control your circumstances or the action of others but you can control your actions and your response. Control what you can and let go of the rest.
❤️ Here's to YOU, teachers.
You’ve faced challenge after challenge and through every imperfect moment of this imperfect year, you’ve shown up for your students. #TeacherTwitter#edchat
To all the teachers/admin who have spent countless hours preparing for f2f, virtual, & hybrid, who are already exhausted, worn out, and stressed out. Remember your purpose is greater than your current struggles. Amd take time for self care. You need and deserve it!
I taught them in kindergarten and have had the privilege of being their principal for the last four years. Congrats to all of the amazing CHS graduates today!
We’re going to start posting videos on Thursdays to help get through this time. If you would like to speak or know someone you would like to speak, please let Ben or Coach Helm know.
3 things for teachers to remember:
1) Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It’s not a time for perfection; it’s a time for grace.
2) The students would still love to hear from you. Stay connected if you can.
3) Take care of yourself and your family. They’re still your #1.
The greatest things you will teach will not be through your lessons, your curriculum, or your assessments.
The greatest things will be taught by your example.
Your kindness.
Your humility.
Your passion.
Your curiosity.
Your love of learning.
Those things teach the lesson.
