Today is yet another tragic day for UVA and Charlottesville. I’m heartbroken for all who are grieving. UVA changed the trajectory of my life and is a place I will always cherish and call home. Sending love and light to my fellow Hoos and the Cville community 💙🧡

Today would have been my big brother’s 36th birthday. He tragically & unexpectedly passed away on March 10th. A year ago I began sharing about what it was like growing up with a sibling who was incarcerated on & off for 20 years (sharing with my brother’s permission, of course).
The grief of these past 3 months has nearly broken me but I now know my career has new meaning. There’s much work to be done.
Heartfelt thanks to this community & my colleagues who have cared for me and supported me in my grieving.
