Learned a lot from the British Library's event, Professor @DavidOlusoga in Conversation: Black History Matters, speaking with Dr @omaromalleykhan. Notes on a doodle.
Also I muted that tweet bc being on this app and existing as a Black person is exhausting online and offline. I literally was pulled over the other day bc I was out RIGHT when curfew was announced n I was targeted lmao like it’s not a game out here for us like fr we been targets
@ Non-Black artists: stop drawing and depicting Black suffering, death and pain. Do not draw our struggle for likes. Do not share the art of non Black artists that exploit our pain.

#Inktober Day 10: Pattern
Hawksbill turtles are beautiful. Unfortunately, their beauty has meant that people have been hunting them for years to make accessories from their patterned shells. Bycatch, ghost-fishing & plastic in the oceans have also affected their numbers 😥
Last chance to bid! The #anonartproject been inundated with loads of paw-fect artwork of furry friends, #dogs!

#Inktober Day 11: Snow
Have always loved the stories of St Bernard dogs rescuing people trapped in snow. While it seems they didn't actually wear those cute whisky barrels round their necks, they did carry rescue packs. They are also gentle giants. #Inktober2019#StBernardDog
#Inktober Day 9: Swing
Just catching up on #Inktober2019 having fallen behind schedule due to work. Here's more than enough room for a cat to swing. He'd prefer to swing himself, thanks.
#Inktober Day 8: Frail
Cats can sense when you're frail. Had a rescue cat named Hercules as a kid. He was moody, often pounced on my arm, clung on & kicked wildly, drawing blood. But one day I was sobbing quietly, he came & let me bury my face in his soft belly for ages ❤
#Inktober Day 7: Enchanted
Always loved the expression "when pigs fly". Even though it suggests an impossibility, the many ways this can be depicted makes it more an encouraging statement for perseverance which I find inspiring. Fly, piggy.. fly ... #Inktober2019
