“A live concert to me is exciting because of all the electricity that is generated in the crowd and on the stage. It’s my favorite part of the business – live concerts.”

Nothing better than the Grateful Dead and The Who in one show ⚡
On this day in 1976, the Dead played their second show of “Day on the Green” at the Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum, organized by the one and only Bill Graham. Headlines in SF publications often noted the pairing as a “dream booking.”

It’s been 60 years since the Grateful Dead played a Peace Benefit at Mt. Tamalpais Amphitheatre, in Marin County, CA. Alongside Quicksilver Messenger Service, Bola Sete (who replaced Joan Baez and Mimi Fariña), and anti-war speakers Ed Keating & Don Duncan. The Dead rallied together at the benefit in support of the congressional campaign of anti-war candidate Phil Drath, as well as local peace efforts. Poster art by Mouse Studios featured a reflective, but familiar bear and pig.
Elvis was a true trendsetter. From sharp suits to iconic flare pants, he revolutionized fashion and left a lasting impact.
