Addressing the diaspora at the Pakistani & American Community event in Houston alongside Congressman Al Green, I highlighted three historic milestones: a massive economic turnaround that slashed inflation to 5-7%, a decisive defense response in May 2025 that led to a strategic defense pact with Saudi Arabia, and brokering the US-Iran peace talks where a single ceasefire tweet added $3 Trillion to the global economy.

To cement these victories, our 5Es Framework sets a target to become a $1 Trillion economy by 2035 through an export-led strategy. We successfully revived the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor, securing agreements for the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) to open a campus in Pakistan and partnering for advanced robotic surgery technology transfer.

Shifting our US relationship from security to geoeconomics, I urged the community to reject fake news and polarization, standing together as a unified vanguard for the ultimate brand—Pakistan.

A respected member of the Sikh community in Houston praised Pakistan's efforts to preserve and promote Sikh religious heritage, highlighting initiatives that have strengthened trust and people-to-people connections.

Reflecting on the significance of the Kartarpur Corridor and the preservation of other sacred Sikh sites, he noted that these initiatives have transformed perceptions and enabled Sikhs around the world to reconnect with their spiritual roots.

He also expressed confidence in Pakistan's future, emphasizing that a strong and prosperous Pakistan benefits not only its people but also the global Pakistani and South Asian diaspora.

Such heartfelt sentiments underscore the importance of promoting interfaith harmony, preserving shared heritage, and building bridges of understanding among communities across the world.

It was truly heartening to address the diaspora at the Pakistani & American Community event organized by the vibrant and dynamic Tahir Javed Sb in Houston alongside Congressman Al Green.

In my address, I highlighted three historic milestones under the civil leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and military leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir that have changed the future course of Pakistan:

1) A massive economic turnaround that slashed inflation to 5-7% - policy rate to 11 percent - historic increase in reserves

2) A historic befitting, decisive and never seen before response to Indian aggression through Marqa e Haq in May 2025 that has taught the enemy a lesson which their generations will never forget and has led to a strategic defense pact with Saudi Arabia and help emerged Pakistan as a provider of stability and peace in the region which can keep any bully in check

3) Unprecedented diplomatic prowess on diplomatic front at global stage that has led to mediation of US - Iran conflict and signing of Islamabad Peace Accord - In its aftermath, a single ceasefire tweet by our Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif added $3 Trillion to the global economy.

To cement these victories, our 5Es Framework sets a target to become a $1 Trillion economy by 2035 through an export-led strategy.

We successfully revived the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor, securing agreements for the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) to open a campus in Pakistan and partnering for advanced robotic surgery technology transfer. Shifting our US relationship from security to geoeconomics, I urged the community to reject fake news and polarization, standing together as a unified vanguard for the ultimate brand—Pakistan.

Speaking at the 150th Birth Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, I looked out at our brilliant diaspora and saw the living answer to our founding fathers' dreams. The ideology of Pakistan is not a relic of the past—it is our live operating system for the 21st century.
What Iqbal envisioned as a poetic dream of selfhood (Khudi), the Quaid executed through the steel of discipline and the rule of law.

Today, our mission is to keep those two forces aligned. To build the Pakistan they envisioned, we must cast aside political polarization and work as one indivisible force. When we put Pakistan first, the world takes notice. Our recent global strides—from stabilizing our macroeconomic foundations to cooling inflation—prove that momentum is shifting in our favor.
Through the Uraan Pakistan framework, we are aggressively pivoting toward a sovereign, technology-fueled, export-led growth model. We are creating the launchpads in AI, biotechnology, and space education, but to truly transform we need our diaspora. They are the vital bridge for knowledge transfer, mentorship, and investment.

Today, our regional challenges demand both stronger diplomacy and smarter, sustainable development.

The equation is simple yet profound: Peace creates stability, and stability creates opportunity. Pakistan's next chapter will be firmly shaped through diplomacy, development, and robust economic strength.

علامہ اقبال نے ہمیں 'خودی' کا فلسفہ سکھایا جس کا مقصد اپنے اندرونی امکانات کو بیدار کرنا، بلند پروازی اور دوسروں پر انحصار کی ذہنیت سے نجات حاصل کرنا ہے، جبکہ قائد اعظم نے ہمیں پختہ ایمان، نظم و ضبط اور قانون کی حکمرانی کے ذریعے اس خواب کو حقیقت میں بدلنے کا عملی اور فولادی عزم دیا۔

آج ہم صرف ان کے الفاظ کو یاد نہیں کر رہے، بلکہ انہیں اپنے’اڑان پاکستان‘ کے اقدامات کے ذریعے عملی جامہ پہنا رہے ہیں کیونکہ بالکل اسی طرح جیسے اقبال نے ہمارے نوجوانوں کو فضائے بسیط میں پرواز کرتے 'شاہین' کے روپ میں دیکھا تھا، 'اڑان' کا مقصد پاکستان کے مستقبل کو نئی پرواز دینا ہے۔ اس اقدام کے ذریعے ہم ملک کو جدید ترین ٹیکنالوجی، خلائی تعلیم اور جدت پر مبنی مراکز کی طرف لا رہے ہیں تاکہ اپنے باصلاحیت نوجوانوں کے اس شاندار سمندر کو ایک عالمی معاشی طاقت میں تبدیل کیا جا سکے۔

اس یادگار تقریب کا سب سے خوبصورت اور جذباتی لمحہ 'جناح کیپ کی تقریب' تھا، جس نے ہماری تاریخ کو ہمارے مستقبل سے جوڑنے والی ایک لازوال قومی روایت کو زندہ کیا اور پوری شام ہماری اوورسیز کمیونٹی نے وطنِ عزیز کی ترقی میں اپنا بھرپور کردار ادا کرنے کے غیر متزلزل عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ ہم نے اس نشست کا اختتام اسی ایک پیغام کے ساتھ کیا کہ قائد اور اقبال کو ہمارا سب سے بڑا خراجِ تحسین یہ ہے کہ ہم عملی طور پر ایک خوشحال، جدید اور ترقی پسند پاکستان کی تعمیر کریں جس کا انہوں نے خواب دیکھا تھا، تو آئیے اپنی پرواز کو ہمیشہ بلند رکھیں۔

A truly productive and inspiring day in Houston, Texas! Moving beyond a standard tour, my visit to Space Center Houston—the official visitor center of NASA—was defined by an incredible look at the cutting edge of STEM education and an in-depth, strategic dialogue with senior management and leadership.

I was privileged to be warmly welcomed by William T. Harris, President & CEO of Space Center Houston, alongside key NASA leaders and executives from leading U.S. aerospace companies. Science, innovation, and strategic partnership guided every single discussion.

During our meetings, I proudly presented Pakistan's vision for a future-ready space ecosystem. I highlighted the immense potential of our brilliant young talent, pushing for advanced training and development opportunities with NASA—and I am delighted that their response was incredibly positive and encouraging.

We dived deep into the critical importance of space exploration and cutting-edge innovation in driving national progress. NASA and industry partners expressed immense interest in supporting this initiative, opening exciting new doors for future collaboration.

This visit and engagement was a tremendous milestone. Our mission remains clear: to build a prosperous tomorrow, we must inspire Pakistan's next generation to embrace scientific curiosity, look toward the stars, and lead through innovation.

NASA and our industry partners have warmly welcomed deeper cooperation. We focused heavily on how to best utilize and uplift Pakistani talent. We already have some of the most brilliant, innovative minds and problem-solvers in the world—we just need to chisel those raw skills. Through a partnership, our talent can receive world-class training directly from NASA experts.

It was an moment of extreme pride and profound honor to stand before the Pakistani Business Community in Orlando and share two historic, monumental achievements that have forever elevated Pakistan’s stature on the global stage.

First, we reflected on the phenomenal success of May 2025: Ma’arka-e-Haq. Under the decisive leadership of the Field Marshal, Pakistan firmly established its defense and technological superiority, wowing the world, winning international accolades, and successfully forging powerful new defense alliances.

Second, Pakistan has just achieved a historic diplomatic masterstroke. Under the joint leadership of our Prime Minister and the Field Marshal, Pakistan acted as the central peace mediator to bring the United States and Iran—two nations that have been locked in severe adversarial relations for decades—to the negotiation table. This incredible effort culminated in the signing of the historic

Islamabad Accord, a feat that has redefined global peace diplomacy.

These twin triumphs in defense and diplomacy prove what Pakistan is capable of. But as I told the business community, our work is not done.

To sustain these incredible wins, protect our sovereignty, and cement our place as a global leader, we must now win the ultimate battle:

Ma’arka-e-Maeeshat (the Battle for the Economy). Economic leadership is the foundation that will power and grow all of our defense and diplomatic successes.

Visiting America's premier spaceport is a powerful reminder of where history, science, and bold ambition converge.

Walking through these landmarks from Apollo to Artemis, it is clear that innovation is the true foundation of national strength. The future belongs to nations that invest resolutely in science and technology.

Under our vision for a technologically advanced Pakistan, we are rapidly charting our own path in the cosmos. We have successfully expanded our national footprint in space by launching the high-power communication satellite PakSat-MM1 (May 2024) and our advanced Remote Sensing and GIS-integrated Earth Observation Satellites, drastically boosting our digital infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and national security.
Our partnership with China has already opened historic frontiers, paving the way for Pakistan's first astronaut to journey into space.

But our ambitions do not stop in low Earth orbit. I have officially given SUPARCO the bold challenge to spearhead Pakistan’s first mission to land on the Moon by 2035.
Our ultimate mission is to ignite a passion for discovery and inspire the next generation of Pakistani innovators to reach for the stars.

For decades, the world talked about Pakistan the way you talk about a patient in intensive care—stable, but never thriving. Surviving, but never soaring.

Tonight, at the 49th APPNA Annual Convention in Orlando, I delivered a different message.

Through Uraan Pakistan, we are fundamentally shifting our philosophy. For the first time, population and human capital aren't footnotes in our planning—they are the opening chapters of our economic architecture. We are targeting a $3 trillion GDP by 2047 built on the 5Es.

With inflation dropping to 3.5% and remittances surging past $31 billion, the structural discipline of Uraan Pakistan is proving to be real.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan has navigated through the complex regional diplomacy that brought Washington and Tehran to the table - Also, under the same leadership, Pakistan held to its ground against the aggressor during Marka-e-Haq proving that Pakistan is not a fragile state. It is a nation finding its footing.

But true stability isn't just won at the borders; it's won in our clinics, our data systems, and our core economic planning. The road isn't smooth, and execution is the only question that matters now.

To the APPNA community I gave a simple message: dont just believe in Pakistan, help build it. Bring your expertise, your systems, and your vision home. Together, the future is our next mission.

لیکن آج رات، اورلینڈو میں 49 ویں اپنا (APPNA) سالانہ کنونشن سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے، میں نے ایک بالکل مختلف پیغام دیا۔ ’اڑان پاکستان‘ کے ذریعے ہم اپنی سوچ کو بنیادی طور پر تبدیل کر رہے ہیں۔ تاریخ میں پہلی بار، آبادی اور انسانی وسائل ہماری منصوبہ بندی میں کوئی معمولی حاشیہ نہیں، بلکہ ہماری معاشی ترقی کا پہلا باب بن چکے ہیں۔

ہم 5Es (فائیو ایز) کی بنیاد پر 2047 تک 3 ٹریلین ڈالر کی معیشت (GDP) کا ہدف لے کر چل رہے ہیں۔ مہنگائی کی شرح 3.5% تک گرنے اور ترسیلاتِ زر (remittances) کے 31 بلین ڈالر سے تجاوز کرنے کے ساتھ ہی، ’اڑان پاکستان‘ کا معاشی نظم و ضبط اب حقیقت کا روپ دھار رہا ہے۔

ایک طرف وہ پیچیدہ سفارت کاری جس نے واشنگٹن اور تہران کو ایک میز پر بٹھایا، اور دوسری طرف ’معرکہِ حق‘ کے دوران بدترین حالات میں بھی اپنی سرحدوں کا مضبوط دفاع—پاکستان نے ثابت کر دیا ہے کہ وہ کوئی کمزور ریاست نہیں، بلکہ اپنے قدموں پر کھڑا ہوتا ہوا ایک مضبوط ملک ہے۔

مگر یاد رہے، حقیقی استحکام صرف سرحدوں پر نہیں جیتا جاتا؛ یہ ہمارے کلینکس، ہمارے ڈیٹا سسٹمز اور ہماری معاشی منصوبہ بندی کے کمروں میں جیتا جاتا ہے۔ آگے کا راستہ آسان نہیں ہے، اور اب سارا دارومدار صرف اس منصوبے پر عمل درآمد (execution) پر ہے۔

میں نے ’اپنا‘ (APPNA) کی کمیونٹی کو ایک سیدھا اور سادہ پیغام دیا ہے: اب پاکستان پر صرف یقین مت رکھیں، بلکہ اسے بنانے میں ہمارا ساتھ دیں۔ اپنی مہارت، اپنے سسٹمز اور اپنا وژن وطن واپس لے کر آئیں۔ اب مستقبل ہی ہمارا اگلا مشن ہے۔

To encourage investment and deep emotional engagement, overseas professionals are being assured of the rule of law and aligned, long-term goals.

An exceptional model was brought to the table: creating a telemedicine backup panel of 10 American healthcare experts for each of Pakistan's 60 districts. This panel will provide backend support to our junior doctors working in remote areas, allowing them to consult directly with US-based specialists and deliver world-class treatment to their patients.

اورلینڈو میں APPNA کے 49 ویں سالانہ کنونشن کے دوران سمندر پار پاکستانی ڈاکٹروں کو ملک کی ترقی اور نظامِ صحت سے جوڑنے کے لیے ایک انقلابی تجویز پر غور کیا گیا۔

اوورسیز پروفیشنلز کو پاکستان میں انویسٹمنٹ اور جذباتی وابستگی کے لیے قانون کی بالادستی اور یکساں اہداف کا اعتماد فراہم کیا جا رہا ہے۔

اس سلسلے میں ایک بہترین ماڈل زیرِ بحث آیا: پاکستان کے 160 اضلاع میں جونیئر ڈاکٹرز کو بیک اینڈ سپورٹ فراہم کرنے کے لیے امریکی ماہرینِ صحت پر مشتمل 10,10 ڈاکٹرز کا ٹیلی میڈیسن پینل (Telemedicine Backup) تیار کیا جائے، تاکہ ہمارے دور دراز علاقوں کے جونیئر ڈاکٹرز براہِ راست امریکی اسپیشلسٹس سے مشاورت کر کے مریضوں کو عالمی معیار کا علاج فراہم کر سکیں۔ اوورسیز ٹیلنٹ اور جدید ٹیکنالوجی کا یہ ملاپ ملکی ہیلتھ کیئر سسٹم کو بدل کر رکھ دے گا!
