Celine Isimbi from @PalClimateInst: "No more energy for genocide. We demand:
1) Apartheid Israel be suspended from the UNFCCC and COP processes...
2) War related emissions be fully included in climate accounting...
3) A conflict of interest policy in the UNFCCC."🧵5/6
HUGE WIN: Just weeks after Israel began its genocide in Gaza, fossil fuel companies won licenses to explore for gas off the coast without legal permission from Palestine. Now, following international pressure, the Italian oil company Eni is backing out. https://t.co/DHFQL8jaao
A private company should not control the global thermostat.
Stardust Solutions’ plan to test stratospheric sun-dimming tech poses massive risks to the Global South and erodes climate justice.

📢 New report : Israel & allies owe $148B in climate reparations for military + conflict emissions since the Nakba.

🇨🇴 🇵🇸 “For the first time, States from different regions of the world will meet to define concrete legal and diplomatic measures to end an illegal occupation and stop international complicity.
The meeting will take place in Bogotá on July 15 and 16, convened by the Hague Group, co-chaired by Colombia and South Africa, in response to the escalating violations of international law in Palestine, including the crime of genocide.”

🚢 The same ship. The same supplier. The same complicity.
⛔ PICS joins the call for a global energy embargo against Israel’s military infrastructure. @visualizingpal’s investigation exposes how fossil fuels are tools of apartheid, genocide, and settler-colonial control.
Today on #WorldRefugeeDay, Palestinian climate campaigners, Search and Rescue workers, and civil society & activists launch The Madleen Declaration!
The Freedom Flotilla in the Mediterranean showed us clearly that border violence, environmental destruction, and the genocide in Palestine are all connected.
Civil society organisations and activists call for a transformative social, environmental and political alternative to a Mediterranean Sea torn apart by state, corporate, and neocolonial violence.
Together, we demand a shared home in which we all can thrive. In place of death and despair, we demand life and hope.

With the start of SB62 this week in Bonn, the UNFCCC continues to negotiate “just transitions” while ignoring the ongoing genocide in Gaza, fueled by fossil capital, protected by military force, and legitimized through greenwashing.
This is not a neutral climate crisis.
This is apartheid. This is ecocide.
And it is enabled by the same extractive systems the UN claims to reform.
We are not calling for symbolic solidarity.
We are demanding action:
🔥 End fossil fuel flows to and from Israel
💰 Expose and boycott complicit corporations
🧭 Center Palestine in all climate justice spaces
