I know that Wyll not clicking with fans is not the only reason they rewrote him, and I think several parts of his story make him more compelling now (the “ex-flaming fist with an absent father” part of his story esp.)

As an EA player I maintain that Wyll was only the least favorite companion (thus completely rewritten) because he is black. His flaws (eg prisoner scene) would have been overlooked if he was white, and while I still LOVE the Wyll we have, I’m sad I’ll never see EA Wyll’s story.

I LOVE full release Wyll, don’t get me wrong, but it’s clear to me that he got screwed over by the rewrite because they didn’t have nearly as much time as they needed. And it makes me wonder about EA Wyll, and how things might have been different if not for anti-black fans.
