जोडे पुसणारे गरीब असतील. पण ते तुमच्यापेक्षा कदाचित जास्त प्रामाणिक असतात. कारण ते स्वतःच्या मेहनतीची भाकर खातात. ते विश्वासघातकी नसतात. चहावाला, रिक्षावाला, टपरीवाला, वॉचमन हे समाजघटक नेतृत्वही करू शकतात, हेच ज्यांच्या पचनी पडत नाही, त्यांना कायम पोटदुखी जडलेली असते. वडिलांच्या कर्तृत्वावर आयत्या रेघोट्या मारायलाही ज्यांना धड जमत नाही त्यांच्या पात्रतेबाबत काही न बोललेलेच बरे….
केवळ कुटुंबापुरता विचार करून आणि हपापलेपणाचा चष्मा घालून वावरणारी ही माणसे आहेत. ‘धनसेवा हीच ईश्वरसेवा’ ही यांची वृत्ती आहे. परंतु, संधी मिळेल तेव्हा ही तळागाळातील सामान्य माणसे या लोकांना मतदानातून जोडे मारतील, हे नक्की.
