Giant octopuses evolved in the Cretaceous, growing 6.6-18.6 meters (22-61 ft) in length. The beaks seem rather octopus-like, so my hunch is they ate shellfish. The only thing abundant enough to feet a 20-60 foot octopus is probably ammonites. https://t.co/rmyBbuj0t6
