regardless of the sleep deprivation & chemical reasons, postpartum depression is the most reasonable thing in the world. ur fat, in pain, ugly, ur body is broken, u don’t get hobbies 2 work on or accomplishments 2 measure or anything like that really. & all the while every day that passes ur beautiful perfect baby gets a little bit older & a little bit bigger. & after every beautiful transcendent moment of shocking glory big baby beauty, u see a flash of how fragile we all are & how fast life goes. & there’s nothing 2 distract u from the despair!!! ur forced 2 contemplate life & death all day long in ur stupid underpants!!!!!!!!

@CuriousBunnie12 Do you have to pump ALL day? I used to nurse on demand, pump a few oz for one night feed, get Daddy to give that to baby so I could sleep uninterrupted. Pumping on top of nursing is too much pressure in the early days otherwise, and I HATED pumping

@CuriousBunnie12 100%. Pretty sure the only reason we are still breastfeeding is because Daddy (the family night owl) deals with night time wakeups. Luckily baby is a reasonable sleeper. Sleep deprivation quickly makes me want to kill myself

@owroot It boggles my mind that I can get my baby up, changed and dressed in the morning, feed him, play with him, cook his breakfast, do laundry and cleaning inbetween baby care, make sure he gets his naps, cook fam lunch and dinner and society considers that as me doing nothing all day
