The Slasher looms at edge of the treeline. On his face is an old, worn hockey mask, expressionless, a grave threat. Ahead is a tent, the silhouette of a camper within...

@WeskerMainDBD This is because the DBD community are the masters of "selective outrage".
You can see it when it comes to AI art, comp drama, even gameplay tactics. Quarter million people, and only a small percentage of consistent and genuine people.
@HPhoenix10@ReleGlo Some people say the bigger kid should have just walked away...
to that I say, I don't pick a fight with a professional fighter cause I can't win that fight.
I honestly think it boils down to what people are "ballsy" enough to talk about. There's plenty to say, but there's also a status quo, and many are terrified of the visceral nature of the DBD community to talk about certain things.
Either that or they just know bringing up certain points is bad for their standing in the community, or their wallet.
TO BE CLEAR - I'm not talking about anything other than trying to have conversations. But people tend to hurl insults, block (and subtweet immediately), etc in this community just for saying something about the video game that they don't agree with, which, I mean, it's your perogative, but maybe you should go write a journal instead of being on social media, cause clearly what you want is an echo chamber.
Thereโs always something worth talking about in DbD, though I think there are 3 things that stop people from wanting to discuss which is that theyโre either;
- Complacent with the state of the game.
- Burnt out and donโt see the point in discussing anything that isnโt an unanimously agreed upon issue.
Or
- They donโt want to tread the same topic either they or someone else has talked about.
Iโve talked about the difference between slugging vs hooking non-stop and I do not intend on stopping anytime soon and yet, more and more people are beginning to want to talk about it now as well.
People just need to stop overthinking it and seek out discussions even if itโs minor or niche. Youโd be amazed by how much people still enjoy those.
