According to a bombshell new report from Peter Baker of The New York Times, the final vote tabulation shows a much smaller popular vote victory than Trump has claimed.

"With some votes still being counted, the tally used by The New York Times showed Mr. Trump winning the popular vote with 49.997 percent as of Thursday night, and he appears likely to fall below that once the final results are in — meaning he would not capture a majority," the report states,

Lynn Vavreck, a UCLA poli-sci professor chimed in: "If the definition of landslide is you win both the popular vote and Electoral College vote, that’s a new definition. I would not classify this outcome as a landslide that turns into evidence of desire for a huge shift of direction or policy."

In his analysis, Baker stated that Trump had "limited coattails" and said that with "some races yet to be called, Republicans were on track to keep almost exactly the same narrow majority in the House that they already had."

"The party picked up four seats in the Senate, enough to take control, a major shift that will benefit Mr. Trump. But even then, in the places where Mr. Trump campaigned the most, he failed to bring Republicans along with him in four of five battleground states with Senate races," he added.

White House adviser Doug Sosnik observed that the election was really a "repudiation of Biden and the Democrats" rather than "a vote for Trump."

"A normal Republican candidate should have picked up at least eight Senate and 30-plus House seats given that the incumbent Democratic president had a job approval in the 30s with 70 percent of voters believing that the country was headed in the wrong direction," he added.

In other words, Donald Trump and the MAGA movement do not have a "mandate" in any meaningful sense. They squeaked into power and together we can destroy them in the mid-term elections.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris comes from a middle class background and actually worked at McDonald’s when she was younger. She’s the only candidate that will actually fight for working class people.

BREAKING: Pope Francis enrages MAGA world by powerfully denouncing those who spread hatred against migrants as a "grave sin" and rips into right-wing anti-immigration laws and border militarization.

This is what real moral leadership looks like...

"It must be said clearly: There are those who work systematically and with every means possible to repel migrants," said Francis at his weekly address. "To repel migrants. And this, when done with awareness and responsibility, is a grave sin. Let us not forget what the Bible tells us: ‘You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him.’"

He urged the world to consider people who "are crossing seas and deserts to reach a land where they can live in peace and safety."

"And when I say ‘sea,’ in the context of migrations, I also mean ocean, lake, river, all the insidious bodies of water that so many brothers and sisters all over the world are forced to cross to reach their destination," he went on.

"And ‘desert’ is not only that of sand and dunes, or rocks, but they are also those inaccessible and dangerous territories, such as forests, jungles, steppes where migrants walk alone, left to their own devices. Migrants, sea and desert," said the Pope.

"In the time of satellites and drones, there are migrant men, women and children that no one must see: They are hidden. Only God sees them and hears their cry. And this is a cruelty of our civilization," he added.

"Brothers and sisters, we can all agree on one thing: Migrants should not be in those seas and in those lethal deserts," he went on. "But it is not through more restrictive laws, it is not with the militarization of borders, it is not with rejection that we will obtain this result."

“Instead, we will obtain it by extending safe and legal access routes for migrants, providing refuge for those who free from war, violence, persecution and various disasters; we will obtain it by promoting in every way a global governance of migration based on justice, fraternity and solidarity," said Francis. "And by joining forces to combat human trafficking, to stop the criminal traffickers who mercilessly exploit the misery of others."

Pope Francis is absolutely right. The path to a better world lies in more compassion and understanding for our fellow man — not in right-wing cruelty and xenophobia.

BREAKING: President Biden has announced that on Tuesday he will sign a proclamation to establish a national monument honoring Emmett Till and his mother Mamie Till-Mobley.

Details:

- The National Monument will span across 3 locations in Illinois and Mississippi, and according to The Independent will "protect places that are central to the story of Till's life and death at age 14, the acquittal of his white killers and his mother's activism, which helped spark the civil rights movement."

- Emmett Till was lynched as a teen in Mississippi in 1955 after being accused of whistling at a white woman.

- Tuesday is the anniversary of Till's birth in 1941.

This is an action that all Americans should be able to get behind.

🚨🚨🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Jim Jordan DEMANDS Jack Smith turn over documents about the scope of his investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents.

Here’s the best part: Jordan likely BROKE THE LAW by violating 18 U.S. Code § 1505.

Here are the details:

Specifically, Jordan and his committee are demanding an unredacted copy of the memorandum outlining the scope of Mr. Smith’s probes regarding President Trump and any supporting documentation related to his appointment as special counsel.

Jordan’s demands come a day after attorneys for the former president met with Smith and others at Justice Department headquarters and the same week the grand jury investigating Trump’s handling of classified documents is expected to meet again.

Jordan said he is seeking the Justice Department documents by June 20.

Here’s the thing. Doing ANYTHING to impede a special investigation is a CRIME.

According to 18 U.S. Code § 1505 - Obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies and committees:

“Whoever corruptly, or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication influences, obstructs, or impedes or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede the due and proper administration of the law under which any pending proceeding is being had before any department or agency of the United States,” that person shall be GUILTY of obstruction.

The punishment is a prison term up to 5 years.

Jordan’s legislative meddling on an executive branch investigation is improper.
