@DubLoony@browneindo@sdublincoco@TidyTownsIre Isuppose that's up to each council to determine, but in South Dublin County there are a number of villages around which the County grew.

📢 Election Candidates
✅ Please adhere to the voluntary poster ban in #Palmerstown village area along with other historical villages across @sdublincoco
🙏 Thank you and the best of luck to all.
@browneindo@sdublincoco Election posters are legally allowed, so a ban in them can only be voluntary. At the request of #TidyTowns groups in a number of the traditional villages 10 years ago, this has been followed by all to-date. It's a small gesture of thank you volunteers who keep areas clean
Using unlicenced waste collectors ends up costing all of us more money (€1.4 million per year) in cost of @sdublincoco cleanups,investigations,@DubFireBrigade,resourcing volunteers, vermin control, and prosecutions.
Please use licenced waste collectors.
Firefighters from Tallaght were called to an waste fire this weekend
🚚 Unofficial van collections often end up dumped and set alight like this
♻️ Only use licenced operators for waste
🌳 Help keep our communities clean and safe

We owe so much to our hardy volunteers who give their time twice weekly, some daily, and all selflessly.

If you're buying pints, bottles, food from the @PalmerstownH please note they have put two LARGE bins in their carpark.
Take your rubbish back to the bin. It really isn't anyone else's job to clean up after you. It's your job.
#PrideOfPalmerstown#prideofplace#Palmerstown
We've installed 10 @Nobutts123 bins - mostly at bus stops around #Palmerstown - funded for two years by the 2021 #TidyTowns grant from @pobal - but hopefully @sdublincoco will partner in future years to cover the cost. The most common type of waste discarded on our streets 🚯
The #Palmerstown Christmas tree is up. All thanks to @ThePinkLadies12 who always do the best of work.
This year the tree is dedicated to Hugh O'Connor, Mary Harrington and Molly O'Callaghan, all Community stalwarts who left us this year. Greatly missed and fondly remembered.
