Tasmania’s largest farm has been sold to a foreign corporation who will destroy it for “carbon credits”.

The sale was approved by Labor Treasurer Jim Chalmers today, Wednesday 8 July.

The loss of 22,000ha of productive, irrigated farmland currently supporting dairy, beef and previously sheep is a hammer blow to Tasmanian and Australian food security.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers said he believed the sale was “not contrary to the national interest”.

As if it isn’t bad enough it’s being sold to a foreign corporation, it won’t even continue on as a farming operation.

Chalmers and this Labor government have allowed their obsession with net-zero to put Australia’s food security at risk.

Our ability to feed ourselves is clearly in the national interest. Destroying productive farmland for scam “carbon credits” is an act of national self harm.

In the middle of a cost of living crisis, how much will this decision put up the price of cheese and milk? How much more expensive will steak or mince be when Australia stops producing it ourselves?

One Nation’s plan for cheaper groceries and national food security is clear. Ditch net-zero which is destroying productive farmland. Ban foreign ownership of farmland (and housing). Get Australian farmers back to farming and putting affordable groceries on the shelf.

One Nation has always opposed foreign ownership of farm land while Labor’s war against Australia’s world-leading agriculture sector continues. Australia is already a net importer of fresh food, seafood and dairy and this is only going to make matters worse.

Australia must be self-reliant and able to feed ourselves. Jim Chalmers and Anthony Albanese think we can eat solar panels and carbon credits.

This decision is a national disgrace.

This is how communism actually works.

Zohran Mamdani loves screaming “tax the rich” while he’s in office. He went after Robert De Niro’s wealth tax and acted like he was some hero for the working class.

But when Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce decided to get married at Madison Square Garden, this fraud suddenly found $15 million of New Yorkers’ money for “security and support.”

Sources at the venue say Swift and Kelce used Mamdani’s cousin Ezekiel’s local moving company to get all their equipment in and out.

So the taxpayers got fucked twice:
1. $15 million for celebrity wedding security
2. Mamdani’s family got a nice fat contract on top of it

All while this communist piece of shit pretends he’s fighting for the little guy.

New Yorkers are getting robbed blind by this fraud and his family. He taxes the rich, then turns around and hands millions to his own relatives and celebrity friends.

That’s not socialism. That’s just plain old corruption with a red flag.

This is embarrassing for Amanda Rishworth.

There’s no excuse for migrant tradies sitting in the same priority tier as actors, dancers, economists and animal trainers.

I’ve posted the whole segment where she does her best to toe the party line – but she just keeps digging deeper.

Using “expert advice” and “professional recommendations” for the settings is a cop-out – if there’s a good reason why a chippie or sparkie should be deprioritised to the same category as an actor or dancer during a housing crisis, she should be able to explain it.

Boasting about the “three times increase in the number of construction workers” is highly deceptive – the long-term average was 0.5 - 0.7% of total intake vs 0.75 - 0.85% under this government, meaning the higher number is mostly due to the higher intake and still a tiny fraction of the overall.

And then she tops it off with “it hasn’t changed since the previous government” – as if the LNP is in good public standing, the ALP hasn’t been in power for over 4 years and the housing crisis hasn’t severely worsened since then.

As for the question of whether trade unions are influencing our migration program? You’d have to be very naive to think they aren’t.

One Nation will bring grocery prices down by taking pressure off the people who grow and move our food.

We would freeze and reduce fuel excise, cut fuel-related taxes, rebuild Australian refining, increase domestic fuel reserves and put fuel security back onshore.

Food should not cost more because Canberra makes fuel more expensive.
