Dear The Pitt show runners and writers, I am loving the series so far… However, as mandated reporters, you DO NOT need proof, just a suspicion to report a crime. Signed, a teacher who has had to make several reports and has a decade+ of trainings on mandated reporting.
Someone once compared grief to carrying a needle in your pocket. Most of the time, you go about your day without noticing it. But then, out of nowhere, you get pricked, and all the pain comes rushing back.
I think that's a perfect way to describe it.
I had to listen to this one in pieces. I lost my mother this past December, and I think my heart will be missing a piece. This was a wonderful tribute to an amazing mother.
@yepitslancaster I’ve had a Dakine laptop bag since college. It’s going on year 15 and still in great shape. Holds my laptop, texts, papers, gradebook, has so many pockets for storage, and the side pockets hold my 30oz stanly just fine.
Target. A child was about to pull the buggy back and on top of himself. “You are being very unsafe right now!” Everyone looked, but the kid stopped before he hurt himself. Mom looked embarrassed, but it was a full buggy and I just blurted it out full teacher voice.
What's the best/worst non-school place you've used your teacher voice.
I once very firmly told a chainsaw maniac on the haunted hayride "no thank you, we are all quite scared enough already" and he left

@Chevron filled my last donation for 3 tablet chairs. They have been well loved for 5 years and desperately need to be replaced! Maybe they or @bp_America could help a teacher at a Louisiana gulf coast school out?

I want to give my students 4 new tablet chairs! They are expensive but last for years! I am $1,625 away from my goal. Any donation or sharing of this post is appreciated! https://t.co/GQgoihZQ9n
Please share or donate! I desperately need to replace some alternative seating in my 7th grade ELA classroom! My students were pumped to know I created a grant for new chairs for them. https://t.co/6wx4esvxWA

A haunted history tour (back in early ‘00s during the day) in New Orleans. We learned about ghosts, sure, but the guides taught us about the city’s history too! How places and buildings came to be, the importance of them, the unique heritage and mix of people. It was fantastic.
@FixingEducation It is similar on our campus. Parents have to come 1st time, 3rd time no more phone on campus. S’s can have phones, but must be off. My team asks they keep them in their bags (rooms are always locked). Students and parents sign off on a contract. No issues for the past 3 years.
@heymrsbond It’s not going to be a full sized poster, but pieces arranged to be a poster… https://t.co/LwuZO5pJfy. You upload your doc, and it prints in sections. You tape it together. It’s cheap, but worked for me until my school purchased a poster maker.
@MoniseLSeward My school switched to plastic prong folders, and we make our own inserts. Came out great and saved the $$$ we used to spend on purchasing through a company.
