This rather puts yesterday's @BBCRadio4 Weekend PM piece about the drought and how we might need to water our gardens differently and their "if this is going to be a trend in years to come" silliness in some sort of perspective... https://t.co/BxRSOiEXeG
Today I voted no on the Speech from the Throne. I cannot support a speech that abdicates our responsibility to act on climate change, puts our children at risk with an outdated sex-ed curriculum, and ignores indigenous people. That’s not why people voted for me as MPP.
"We will not, we cannot allow such random acts of violence to shut down this city, prevent us from spending time with family, friends and community in public spaces."

We were very happy to see that our new Education Minister has signed our pledge to support a 'State of Good Repair' Standard for all #Ontario schools AND to fund this standard by 2020. Fix_Our_Schools is interested in seeing how this will be implemented.
“Instead of negative campaigning, I’m fighting for honest solutions on housing, mental health, and transit.
Voters are resonating with our message that politics can be done differently.” -@MikeSchreiner#onpoli#OnElxn

We'll keep working hard to talk to #UniRose voters before Election Day June 7th. We keep adding to the record number of #TimGrant/GPO signs across he entire riding showing their support! #motivated@OntarioGreens#OnElxn#onpoli
“Of the two parties fighting for power, one denies that climate change is even a problem, and the other ignores the crisis facing us.
We need real climate solutions that put people first.” - @MikeSchreiner#onpoli#ONElxn#WorldEnvironmentDay

Undecided?
There's a reason for that.
The 3 old parties are stuck in the past.
But change is within reach.
Kingston and The Islands Greens have tripled voter support in the past 3 weeks.
Be bold. Vote Green.

Ontario voters want fair debates. Transit, healthcare, a 21st economy, environmental stewardship are policies @OntarioGreens are working on. Give Mike the opportunity to share our values. He will show you what the GPO has to offer #MikeAtTheMic#onpoli#GPO2018
1st Q from last night's debate: can we afford our party platforms? @robert_kiley says "Yes! @OntarioGreens have an accurately costed platform, the other status quo parties have history of deep, deep debt and holes in their platform." https://t.co/3bBRppkT14 #ygk#onpoli
Strategic voting:
The art of voting for the second worst candidate to avoid the worst candidate while not supporting the best candidate for a government full of second worst candidates so voters can complain about the MMPs in the government they elected. #LetsMakeHistory#Green
The Green Party will push for a Basic Income Guarantee in Ontario.
It’s time to cut red tape for those who need real support, not more paperwork, just to get by.

Selling #TransMountain to Canadian pension plans like CPPIB won't get taxpayers off the hook. If ever done, simply transfers risk of marginal economics and huge environmental liabilities to their pensions. #Morneau had better options to help flagging oil sands industry.
I support strong public funding for Ontario universities, investing in faculty renewal, and delivering fairness for contract faculty to ensure Ontario students are getting the high-quality education they deserve. #OnPoli#OnElxn#OnPSE#Fairness4CF#15andFairness
