@SpireJim I watched something to do with arsenic, lead etc leaching into food from locally made saucepans especially those from recycled engine parts. That might explain the cancer cases. Over to you the researchers. Ugandans, you are on your own
@KiiraMotors Nice. I surely enjoyed the rides along Jinja-Iganga highway on the electric bus. You deserve your flowers for that however today I used one of the electric buses whose stop button wasn't functional and the passengers had to shout "staaaaage". Having that repaired would be great.
Yesterday I put SkyLume out as a web app. Free live TV and radio from around the world. No account, no subscription.
By evening my replies and WhatsApp were full of the same ask. Make it an app. Put it on my phone.
So I stayed up and built it. Last night it went to both the Play Store and the App Store. It is with the reviewers now.
Any day now it lands on your phone. I will let you know when available to download. Usually Google approves faster than Apple but lets see who approves faster
For two weeks I have been writing about the same problem. The wedding pool. The funeral collection. The treasurer holding millions that nobody can see.
I was writing about it because I have been building the answer.
Today I am launching SenteMe. Run any group contribution and everyone sees every shilling. Every payment, the running total, where the money sits, visible to the whole group in real time.
We have always known how to come together and give. We just never had a way to make it transparent. Now we do.
@TheMutambuze When a relationship goes south, in most cases, the woman is left with the responsibility of taking care of the offspring 100% (evidenced by cases of child neglect by fathers at family and child support unit). One could say ladies are preparing for the worst-case scenario.
@Enan_Rwaboona But things are not usually black alone or white alone. Some things are striped; implying a combination because that could be one person.
The narrative of laugh on a bicycle or cry in a limo. Can't we laugh in a limo, even if by force!!π€£π
@Ivantraore2@benmwine@KakandeAlex The day you find out that people prefer to work with the Yinginiya who rose through the ranks from being a porter, foreman then finally Yinginiya and not Engineer, you will let them live in their funny expensive houses in peace
@Ivantraore2@benmwine@KakandeAlex There's professionalism, and then there's survival for the fittest. The construction industry in Uganda is infiltrated by people of all walks of life; most of whom ain't about quality.
