There’s a few feeders in the yard but the Blue Jays decided to gather at this one on the deck today💙 Normally they all hang out in the cherry weeping tree. There were a few more out of frame.

@DrcrawfishWx 🕊️No problem!!😄 I’m always still learning as well and focus on local birds. I really want to learn their language so I’ve been focusing on calls🤓🐦

@DrcrawfishWx This one def is purple finch but the video before this one you posted wasn’t. They play with my head whenever I look at them😂 The key is looking at their bellies the purple finch won’t have the brown streaks it’s more faded and has reddish streaks.

@DrcrawfishWx I think it’s a house finch and double checked with the “picture this” app I use. I have seen a purple finch female a few times but not a male yet. They are really hard for me to tell apart.
