@DoeEyeEvans “Do you think I’m stupid, Black?” Aaron responded as he gave Sirius a look over his shoulder. “Now if you two don’t mind, I have things to do.” Aaron said smugly, as he turned his gaze back to James.
@Gryffind0rGab “Yeah.. yeah you should.” James responded with a slight awkwardness in her mannerisms. His mind was racing with nothing but sheer confusion. He stared blankly, as he took the stack of envelopes from her.
@Gryffind0rGab Kissing his cousins ex was the last thing he expected. After a moment of realising what had happened, he pulled back quickly and wiped the corners of his mouth. He looked at Gabby in sheer disbelief.
@DoeEyeEvans It took James a moment to gather his thoughts before he spoke. There was still one thing that didn’t make sense. “When?” James asked flatly, as he finally looked up at Remus.
@DoeEyeEvans James folded his arms loosely across his chest, as he gnawed on the inside of his cheek. It somewhat made sense, the more he reflected on the events of the past few months. Remus’s absences, and the inactivity during the lunar cycle. “Well.. that explains a-
@Gryffind0rGab “It’s none of your business.” James barked, before he reached to snatch the letters out of her hand. “It’s got nothing to do with you so.. just give them here.”
@DoeEyeEvans At that moment, James didn’t know what to say. He didn’t think Remus would lie to him in the first place, but he still held doubts on what was disclosed in the woods. He felt guilty about having those doubts at all.
@Gryffind0rGab “Hm?” James responded before he even bothered to look up. Shit. He put the new essays down on the desk before he held his hand out to take the papers off her. “Nothing important.”
@Gryffind0rGab “No, that’s my friend.” James responded jokingly, referring to an old joke he and Sirius used to use. James glanced down at the overfilled drawer, and let out an amused chuckle. “Yeah.. oops.” He said half heartedly.
@Gryffind0rGab “I can imagine. His loud mouth was one of the things I liked about that kid.” James said, perhaps too casually. For a moment, he forgot Gabrielle was still in the dark about the whole situation. “Just chuck those in the drawer for now. It’s only first year shit.”
@Gryffind0rGab James glanced to her, with a slightly cocked eyebrow. “If you want.. I guess.” James accepted graciously yet skeptically. In the years he had known Gabby, it was the first time she actively chose to be around him without his cousin present.
@Gryffind0rGab James’ shoulders rolled into a small shrug, as he picked up a handful of essays to move them out of the way. In a futile attempt to appear organised. “I’m assuming so. I haven’t seen her around in a bit. I didn’t think my company was that bad.” James said jokingly.
@Gryffind0rGab James couldn’t help but roll his eyes. He was well aware of his cousins and Gabby’s history. “Oh no, don’t even think about getting me involved in.. whatever it is with you two.” James said as he took a few steps from the window towards his desk that was scattered with papers.
@Gryffind0rGab “Oh, Gabby. Hey.” James said as he fastened the window door closed. “It’s a bit late for house calls, don’t you think?” James responded, with a humorous undertone.
