Even as a Kid, you could tell when a cartoon was animated in Japan. You'd watch something like Tiny Toons, & suddenly the animation quality would skyrocket. I see the stuff TMS did in the 80s &, it's so fluid it makes me wonder how it ended up being made in the first place.
“I’ve always loved initiation stories, where characters who are far too small for their fate are pushed by fate to brave dangers. There’s undoubtedly a bit of ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ ‘The Hobbit,’ and ‘Okilélé’ (a French children’s book by Claude Ponti) that have been constant sources of inspiration.” - Clément De Ruyter, creator of Dungeons & Kittens 😸⚔️😸

Here are my cuts on #ONEPIECE1066
I've been reading the manga over and over for 15 years, so when @henry_thurlow asked me to do some cuts, of course I had to say yes ! It's only two cuts ( the close ups of the Captains ) but they come with great honour and love 🙏
Thanks Henry !
Here is the isolated shot/cut I animated for One Piece episode 1066. If I get the option to release my tiedown/genga, I will share it later down the line.
Thanks again for having me on the ship, @henry_thurlow !
