The language used by the Congress President reflects the frustration of a party increasingly rattled by people confronting its divisive agenda. From their leadership’s unruly conduct on the streets to confrontations within their own ranks, Congress’s political culture is increasingly marked by aggression and intolerance. Such conduct is unbecoming of a party that claims to uphold democratic values. The Congress leadership may continue to nurture its political ambitions, but the people of India will never allow divisive politics and such conduct to prevail over national interest. India’s people will decisively reject this politics of frustration and division.
