I have been repeating this for years now and everytime i get the same type of pushback:
„It rewards people for winning early” - which btw rewards you for dodging good players
„Mtg allows it for 30 years, stop yapping” - magic is doing a lot of things that others shouldn’t repeat
„It allows to grab some food” - you can’t be serious when you say this.
IDs are terrible from competitive integrity perspective, especially in the 16-80 players range and it affects the local gaming scenes the most, in a pejorative way.
There’s not enough upside to continue with ID in most games, but specifically also in Riftbound.
And yes, draws would be double losses instead.
Haven’t done anything card game related in about 2 weeks.
Of course, still hitting the #liftbound sessions bc that’s life.
Have some time set aside today to run some games with a homie. So I’ll get some recording in.

I’m glad my ideas were right on track with something great
Our lists are basically the same minus a few cards

@Krashy I get it
I think we’re both playing at DNA Sunday morning. Was happy to see a 10am start time. I hate staying late for tourneys.
If you wanna record some games for content, I’m down

Since I can’t dedicate hours to playing tourneys, thankful I have friends willing to test with me earlier in the day.
I enjoy Riftbound but I love my 1 year old way more 🙂
Just let small creators learn their craft and build themselves up. When they make it, then they can outsource to artists and such
Ai is a tool, it’s not a replacement
Just chill and put your pitchforks down
If you don’t wanna support them, then don’t
Zero reason to attack ppl
All this anti AI thumbnail talk sounds so performative and very “pick me”
We get it, you LOVE Riftbound, and you want to be noticed
But, in that same breath y’all buy all these unlicensed playmats, sleeves, dice, point counters, etc
