🚨 BIG: 🇮🇳 India to soon join the global race for SpaceX-like reusable rockets

Chennai-based space startup Agnikul Cosmos has announced Mission-02, a bold plan to attempt India's first recovery of an orbital-class rocket booster by a private company.

The mission aims to safely recover the booster for refurbishment and reuse, while repurposing the upper stage into a functional in-orbit platform instead of letting it become debris.

This is a major step toward reusable launch vehicles that can significantly reduce costs and make satellite launches more affordable and sustainable.

Agnikul is already a leader in 3D-printed rocket engines that can be produced rapidly. It is now advancing reusability technologies, backed by multiple patents from 🇮🇳 India, the 🇺🇸 US, and 🇪🇺 Europe.

With support from ISRO and IN-SPACe, this progress highlights the rapid growth of India's private space sector.

Alongside recent private orbital launches like Skyroot’s Vikram-1, the country is building strong self-reliance in space technology.

A food testing machine worth ₹11.98 lakh purchased by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has reportedly gone missing, raising serious questions over the civic body's asset management. The machine, bought in 2016–17 for the Food Hygiene and Health Laboratory in Kondhwa, was handed over after the laboratory's contract ended in 2018.

The issue came to light after Corporator Mahesh Wabale raised questions in the PMC General Body meeting. In its written reply, the Health Department admitted that the machine and one of its key components could not be traced. A police complaint has been filed, but PMC has not clarified how the equipment went missing or who is responsible.

Mundhe noted that the interaction aimed to maintain an active dialogue with entrepreneurs in the food sector regarding the 22 core food safety regulations outlined by FSSAI. While answering queries on targeted surveillance, the Commissioner clarified that no specific corporate entities or brands are under surveillance, but rather any unsafe food and pharmaceutical products that threaten public health. He further revealed plans to introduce advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain architectures, to create a fully automated and evidence-based decision-making system.
