Aaron Hardie is the first player in the franchise T20 leagues history to take 4 wickets and score 50 in the final. #PSLFinal

Babar Azam’s first ever T20 title as captain. In a season where he also scored record 588 runs and hit two centuries. It is fitting that it happened in Lahore where he grew up playing cricket and made his journey from ball boy to champion.

Peshawar (70) have most wins in PSL history and have played most finals (5) too. The talent they and KP have produced in recent years, it was just a matter of time before they bagged another trophy, and they have done it in style. In front of 32,461 crowd, largest ever in PSL.

I was literally praying that if Farhan plays, he should show his batting talent as well as show he's one of the best fielders in Pakistan.

Both things are happening, Alhamdulillah. Kudos to Zalmi for sticking with him too.

It has now become very clear that Babar Azam is most effective when allowed to play his natural game rather than being burdened by expectations around his strike rate.

Babar has never been an out and out power hitter, his strength lies in classical stroke play, timing, and the ability to construct an innings with control and composure. This approach, while sometimes criticized in the modern T20 era, has often provided stability at the top of the order, an asset that many teams struggle to find.

The push to force a transformation in his batting tempo undermined the all qualities that made him one of Pakistan’s most dependable batters. Rather than reshaping his identity, a more balanced team strategy, where aggressive hitters play around his anchoring role, can provide better results.

Even in an era where teams score 200+ regularly, there remains value in players who can absorb pressure, bat deep, and provide a platform.

Babar Azam, when trusted to play his own game, continues to offer exactly that.

Fantastic knock by Babar Azam - his third century in PSL. And can you believe he batted just one dot ball in a 52-ball innings!!!!

T20 ke BADSHAH! 👑 - Babar Azam has equaled Virat Kohli’s record for the most 100+ partnerships in T20s with 47th hundred plus partnership. He has also been 18 times part of century partnerships in PSL. #HBLPSL11 #TATAIPL
